By submitting an entry, entrants agree to abide by these Official
Rules and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations that govern sweepstakes.
One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive one (1) Prize valued at TBD selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
The Grand Prize is not transferable or assignable, or redeemable for cash or any other consideration, and no substitutions will be allowed except by Sponsor, which reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value or nature if advertised prize is not available. The Grand Prize winner is responsible for compliance with all applicable federal, state, and/or local laws and regulations, including, without limitation, the payment of all applicable taxes.
JUDGING: All entries submitted will be viewed and monitored each week by What’s Up? staff for appropriate content to qualify for entry into the contest. What’s Up? staff will judge the qualified images based on originality and creativity to grant approval for entry. After approval, the entrant will be notified by email that their entry is approved and the entry will be placed into voting. Entries will be randomly paired against each other in an A vs. B model. Entries are randomly chosen to equally distribute voting across all entries currently in voting. A voter selects their favorite entry by clicking on A or B with their computer mouse and this is considered a vote. The two new entries appear and the voter reselects A or B over. All the votes “for” the entry are recorded. The image with the highest percentage of won battles determines the winner during the stated contest period for awarding the prize. In the event of a tie, an additional “tie breaker” judge will determine the winner using the judging criteria above. What’s Up? reserves the right to select a winner based on judgment of most appropriate image and with the highest win percentage. Incomplete and/or inaccurate entries and entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification. Any use of a “spider,” “robot,” or any computer program imaged to modify voting data will result in the banning of the user and deletion of this data. We reserve the right to remove any user or entry deemed to benefit from non-human voting. Entries that did not win the previous month can resubmit their entries for a chance to win in future contests. All entries may be featured What’s Up? Media magazines, websites, newsletters, promotional ads, etc. By entering, Entrant grants to What’s Up? Media an exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to edit, publish, promote, produce, sell, and republish at any time in the future and otherwise use entrant’s image, along with entrant’s name, likeness, biographical information, and any other information provided by entrant, in any and all media for possible editorial, promotional or advertising purposes, without further permission, notice or compensation (except where prohibited by law).
SEVERABILITY: If any provision of these Rules is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction or appointed arbitrator, such determination shall in no way affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision herein.
