A splash of sapphire, ruby, fuchsia, or emerald can turn a wedding theme from ordinary to extraordinary. Since jewel tones are deeply saturated with color, you can make a statement with even the slightest hint of color. Adding a velvety smooth table runner under your crystal and place settings can immediately play up the contrast of colors, especially if your china is light and delicate. Or, consider adding color with wedding party accessories. Pops of peridot, amethyst, or aqua on handbags, pumps, pashmina scarves and even neckties juxtapose nicely against neutral suits, dresses, and wedding gowns. Here, the mention of deep pinks and purples gives weight to the flower arrangements without stealing the show from the overall look and feel.
