What's Up Weddings

Trend Watch: Sheer Bliss

Aug 04, 2016 12:25PM, Published by Arden Haley, Categories: Trends

Racy and seductive, the rise of the sheer gown may not bode well for the demure bride at first glance. However, several designers are steering the trend toward a more wearable illusion of transparency. A skirt made up of layer upon layer of sheer tulle, while mysteriously sexy, maintains a level of discretion when worn. Impeccably placed clusters of appliquéd lace echo a veil of modesty juxtaposed against the provocative tone of the naked gown. For the bride confidently seeking out a nearly nude number, finding the right gown is as simple as finding a gown with the right lining to fit your chosen level of prudence.
