51st Annual U.S. National Oyster Festival
The U.S. Oyster Festival in St. Mary’s County well be held Saturday, October 21st, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. and Sunday, October 22nd, 11 a.m.–6 p.m. at the fairgrounds. The festival is a celebration of the bounties of life in Southern Maryland, especially St. Mary’s County oysters. In its 51st year, the festival includes the US National Oyster Shucking Competition and National Oyster Cook-Off, the highlights of the weekend, which also includes live music and other entertainment, more than 75 artists and non-profit organizations with displays and items for sale, children’s activities, and multiple food vendors of all sorts – especially oysters!
